About the event
Intro to 3D Printing is a hands-on maker class for upper elementary and middle school students who are ready to turn their ideas into real, physical creations! Perfect for kids who just got a 3D printer and don’t know where to start, this class walks students through how 3D printers work, how to safely set them up, and how to successfully print their own designs.
Students will learn the basics of 3D modeling, how to find and customize existing designs, prepare files using slicing software, and troubleshoot common printing problems. Kids are encouraged to bring their own 3D printer to class, where they’ll get guided, step-by-step help learning how to use their specific machine with confidence. By the end of the class, students will have printed projects, new maker skills, and the confidence to keep creating at home!
