Our summer camp program features innovative and hands-on learning, with world-class instruction taught by actual teachers with fun camp activities.

In each weeklong session, you’ll explore what it means to be a Maker, make new friends, and build STEAM based skills that last long after summer.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What Ages is tinkrCAMP For?

tinkrCAMP is for students going into grades 2nd-8th this fall. However, some exceptions can be made to this depending on the tinkrCAMP session.

What's Included in the Camp Cost?

Each week of camp will include several hands-on activities that campers will create and take home at the end of the week. We will also provide each camper with snacks and water bottles that will be available throughout the day.

Who Teachers tinkrCAMP?

All tinkrCAMP sessions are lead by actual classroom teachers. Each of our teachers is well trained, CPR and First Aid Certified. All tinkrCAMP employees are adults, we do not use counselors in training as part of our staff.  Our staff to camper ratio is 8 to 1.

What is the tinkrCAMP time frame?

tinkrCAMP sessions run Monday through Friday, 9:00am-4:30pm for the Elementary tinkrCAMPs. Middle School tinkrCAMP sessions are from 9:00am to 12:00pm (noon).  If you should need an earlier drop off or later pickup, you can add for $5 per day, per pick or drop off. Early Drop off/Late Pick up is only available for Elementary Camps.

Do I Provide Lunch?

You will need to send your Elementary camper with a sack lunch each day during the camp session.  At this time we do not have the option for a camp provided lunch.  Since our Middle School camps end at noon, there will not be a lunch break.

What is tinkrCAMP Cancellation Policy?

Cancellations:  I understand and agree that I may only cancel my student’s registration until 3 weeks (21 days) prior to the start date of the camp for which my student is registered. I must make my cancellation through My Account or an email to contact@tinkrlab.com (please note “Cancellation” in the subject line) or by calling 517-233-1524. If my student cannot attend a session for which they are registered and I do not notify tinkrLAB more than 3 weeks (21 days) prior to the camp session date, it will be considered a withdrawal/no show and I will be responsible for full payment of all fees associated with my student’s registration for that camp. NOTE: If a medical emergency occurs less than 3 weeks (21 days) prior to the start of the course in which your student is registered, preventing your student from attending the camp, please call 517-233-1524 and we will work with you to try to get your student registered in another camp.

Changes:
I understand and agree that I am, without penalty, able to make changes to my student’s registration including but not limited to location, date or camp session, so long as the changes are made more than 3 weeks (21 days) prior to the start date of the originally scheduled camp my student was registered for. If there are twenty-one (21) days or less until the start of the originally scheduled course, I agree to pay an additional $35 administration fee.

Refunds:
If I cancel my student’s registration through My Account or email as set forth above, more than 3 weeks prior to the start date the session I am cancelling, I understand and agree that the amount I paid for the cancelled registration, less a nonrefundable administrative fee of $35, will be refunded to me. I agree that refunds will NOT be issued for withdrawals/no shows, cancellations made less than 3 weeks (21 days) prior to the start date of the session cancelled, and improperly made cancellations. I also understand and agree that refunds will NOT be issued for early withdrawal or dismissal due to absences (for any reason) including sickness, behavioral dismissals, power failures, weather, and unforeseeable events not within the control of tinkrLAB or other acts of nature. If students leave a program early for any reason, the tuition is not prorated and no refund will be issued, including partial refunds. If tinkrLAB must cancel a session and cannot find a suitable alternative at an adjacent location, a full refund will be made to the client.

Can I make Payment Arraignments?

If you register through the Active Camp Registration Website, you will have the option to make payment arraignments.  There will be a required deposit of 25% of the total camp cost due at registration. Then there will be three (3) additional payments automatically billed to the credit/debit card used at registration. Each payment will be equal to 25% off the total camp registration. Each payment will be processed on the first of the month.

All tinkrCAMP registrations must be paid in full no later than June 1st, 2018. Depending on when you register, the deposit and remaining payments will be adjusted to how many automatic payment dates are remaining.

Should you need to adjust the payment date or make alternate payment arraignments, changes must be made through My Active Account, by emailing contact@tinkrlab.com or by calling 517-233-1524. These changes must be made at least ten (10) days prior to the payment date. Should payment changes be made less than ten (10) days before the payment date, tinkrCAMP will not be responsible for any overdraft or NSF fees associated with the transaction.
